Staff Pharmacist Carla Dlugos spoke to Christina Lawrence at Atria Senior Living of Springboro about a Community Service Project for the Memory Care Unit. The staff at the Medicine Shoppe made each resident in the unit a fidget blanket. A fidget blanket is a lap size blanket that provides sensory and tactile stimulation for the restless hands of someone with Alzheimer’s and or other forms of dementia. The Medicine Shoppe collected over $200 and received supplies from several people. In all, 30 blankets were made by the staff of Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy to be given to Atria Memory Care unit.
